OFFICE TECHNOLOGY

The Office Technology Program is designed for students who have a desire to become employed in the office environment. In order to enroll in the program, a student must meet with the Counselor in the Student Services Department and take a pre-test. Pre-tests are given in keyboarding, English skills, reading, and business math.

Students will learn routine clerical and administrative functions, such as drafting correspondence, scheduling appointments, organizing and maintaining paper and electronic files and providing information to customers.

Job Outlook:

Office Technicians, except legal, medical, and executive, have been listed as one of Utah’s Three Star Occupations. The need for replacements, rather than growth in numbers, will make up the majority of job openings for this occupation.
