The DXATC contracts with three private cosmetology schools to provide an opportunity for high school students to enroll in cosmetology training while they are still in high school. Evans Hairstyling College, Hairitage Hair Academy, and Taylor Andrews Academy of Hair Design provide modern facilities and equipment for the training. Qualified instructors from the schools provide training designed to prepare a student for the state licensing exam. Most high school students will complete about 1000 hours of the training required while in high school. Students who enroll in the program must coordinate registration with the local high school counselor.
